It is really easy, all you have to do is extend your positive cable so it will reach the rear of the car. then find a good spot for your ground. buy a dry cell battery, i recommend a red top. also get a battery box. it is really easy.

I suggest going to a local welding supply shop and picking up some ground cable. They will have cheap cheap cheap 2ga wire.
Get a sealed battery, or use a sealed box with a vent tube.
Also, if you race, most sanctioning bodies require a battery cutoff switch on the exterior of the vehicle, clearly labeled on and off.

I replaced my taillight center section with aluminum plate framed with 3/8" bar stock...so I had no problem installing my cutoff switch back there. I tried to make it as flush as I could. I've hacked up the car enough for the cage and such, so it didn't bother me.
I'm supposed to have one in the supra...but I can't allow a hole saw to touch my supe! the body's straight and unmolested...I'd like to keep it that way!
