Using ZC tranny on my 91 CRX si (sorry, i'm a newbie)
hey guys i'm a newbie to the zc engines and crx. I bought this 1990 crx si not too long ago with a bad transmission. I was thinking about getting a used sohc ZC tranny for it but had a few questions to ask first.
will I be able to use my crx axles?
Can I use a clutch from a crx?
and lastly will my crx shift linkage work on the zc tranny?
thanks in advance!

Clutch will work, Axles wont work, and linkage will work.
For the axles you have a few options; get the 90-93 Acura Integra Axles and intermediate shaft, or use just the Integra joints on the CRX axles, or swap in your current Si final drive and countershaft(this is what I did; youll have have better acceleration than the DOHC ZC's 3.88 Final drive plus you can use the stock CRX axles).
Hope that helped.

Note: I just noticed you said you were getting a SOHC ZC transmission; in that case you can still swap in the differential but there probably won't be any performance gains. If the ZC transmission is already a 4.25:1 ratio FD; just swap in a new differential instead of both differential and countershaft. You can just swap just the differential with out swapping another ring gear if you wanted to(but youll have to retorque the bolts, etc.)
