Default Stop Eating My Voltage Regulators!!

Hey guys long time lurker here, I need some help. I installed a JDM D15B in my 91 STD hatch and converted to obd1 and MPFI by modifying the existing harness my self and used the intake from a D15B7. I have replaced the alternator more then 10 times in the past year due to the regulators burning out in a week or two, some last longer but most are short lived. I have checked all of my grounds (that I can think of) and can't come up with a solution. Has anyone one run into this problem? Or does anyone have any suggestions or ideas? Your help is greatly appreciated.

If you are using ANY of the big auto parts houses (NAPA/Advanced/Autozone, etc) reman units, that is most likely your issue. The voltage regulators they use are STRAIGHT GARBAGE. I went through 3 in less than 5K miles on my 89 RT4WD Civic. The best unit I have found (and it came with recommendations) is from Alterstart. Find them on eBay (alterstart on eBay) You are going to pay more, but the quality is there. I have been running one for about 9 months with no issues.

Another upgrade I did was to replace the standard alternator pulley with a Mechman overdrive pulley (http://www.mechman.com/).. That will give you your idle charge voltage back with high electrical load. I was considering a Mechman alternator but they are just too expensive.
