This would be a temporary fix for a week, tops. Yes, there will be people that tell you theirs has held up for years but do you really want to find out for yourself? Your tank needs to be properly repaired or replaced.

Any "quick seal", [external] is a very temp. fix and will not last, a bit better are the internal sealers.

With that said replacing the tank is a far better bet, either way the leaking tank needs to be removed. to properly seal it or replace it. 94

Even if welding were a readily available option, you would still need to send it out to have the plastic liner inside done again.
