question about crx jdm front conversion
is the conversion "just bolts on" and you have to do a little mod'ing?. i heard that you have to weld on the front bumper is that true?

Re: question about crx jdm front conversion (ek4 fa sho)
ive done mine 3 months ago..everything is bolt on..a little mod on the wiring on the headlights...if your getting a siR front, youll need the jdm headlights but with a zc you can use the usdm headlights..also SEARCH the thread (thats what i did when i was doing a front end conversion.)

Re: question about crx jdm front conversion (eF cRX fA sHo)
my bumper is mounted with two screws by the headlight corners and another 4 screws on the center part of the bumper. i also have no bumper surpport. it very loose and i don't like it. also my corner doesn't fit there's no holes for the corners beside one thats right by the headlights. any other reason why it's so loose? also it seems to tilt downwards. any suggestions?

you need some kind of bumper support. also try to bolt in the bottom of the bumper , the one that is underneath the engine.

Re: (RuthlessEF-9)
you don't need the jdm radiator support.
you can:
a. use washers to push the usdm support foward to allow the hood to latch.
b. move the latch down about an inch on the hood itself (what i did).

Re: (phan)
phan is right.. but the JDM one bolts RIGHT on.. no modification.. and in most cases, if you get the JDM conversion.. comes with it..
ahh, i think 5 bolts hold the rad. support, 2 on each side, then 1 down at the very bottom (if youve taken one off, you know what i mean)
the corners stay on, since they're 90-91's and im using the JDM (90-91) fenders.. they're the EG style corners, instead of the 2 screws on the sides.

Re: (Built B16A)
im currently using the jdm support and its rigged into place so it will actually latch...its not even bolted to the chassis with the 4 bolts...only with the 1 bolt at the bottom..i got a million washers from home depot and 4 screws that looked like they would fit but they didnt, so now i think im just gonna try a mod similar to phans...maybe he can hook me up with a picture
i get my car back from the paint shop today

Re: (X-Static)
i too had to go to home depot for "ghetto fab" materials to push my rad. support out a bit(after a mild front ender)i took one of the bolts from my rad. support with me and matched it up too the correct thread on the nuts and bolts aisle..got some bolts that are longer than stock and shimmed it outwards until the hood latch pin lined up(until i can get a newer, less bent rad. support)it's always best to do it the right way but..you gotta "fab it up" sometimes to fit..

Re: (buckethead36)
yeah i took the bolt up to home depot too...they looked like they were the same width but apperently the ones i got were just a couple millimeters too big
