place racing cross member?
does any one know where i can get this for about $150.00, i found a page a while back that also has it where you can run the 92-95 rad.

I was selling one for $150 a while back, sold it to a fellow HTer, the place I got it at sold it to me at the same price that Place Racing is selling them at, $190 or something...

aiite thanks alot...one last question......should i use the 92 to 95 rad fan or my 91 fan vecause the 91 fan doesnt' bolt up to the 92 to 95 rad because i can always change the plug to make the fan still run?
oh yeah its because i got my radiator today from my firend and he gave me the fan with it.

I would use the one that goes with the radiator that your using I mean if your getting the cross meber to fit the radiator why rig it to use the 91 fan?? I mean all it is is switching a plug so why not? I could be wrong so please someone correct me if I am??

So then then only purposes of the Place Racing crossmember is so you can fit a 92-95 radiator and so you have more room for a header?? It doesnt serve any other kind of purpose??

the whole reason i'm getting the place racing front cross member(also soo i don't have to chop up my stock cross member and weaken it) is soo i can fit the 92 to 95 half size radiator, have clearance for my jdm 4-1 headers, having the fourth mount(for my b16a), also less wheel hop. also the jimfab and the z-10 cost too much..............

I thought that the palce racing didnt do anything for wheel hop since you cant preload the bar like the jim fab and z10? Yes I agree they are quite pricey but if your primary use is going to be for wheel hop and it doesnt do anything for it wouldnt that defeat its purpose??
I have been asking the same question every time someone posts about the place racing and never get a good answer the only thing that I can see for the place racing is for use of a different radiator and to clear up clearance issues. Although I did know about the 4th mount for the B-series swaps but what good would it do for me with an A6?

Can you still jack up the front of your car in the middle of the place racing bar? And also what motor are you running with that bar.

like others have said the place bar does absolutely dick for wheelhop.
the only benefits of the place bar is to fit the 92-99 radiator, and clearance for a header, it does dick for performance, your gonna throw 180 bucks down the tube for a peice of **** bar when you could modify your stock member for free and save the 180 for when have more money and can afford a real bar (jimfab or z10)
