I understand, I just want it to be clear you have a good reason to endorse PG outside of whether you've used the product or not. What you originally posted looks like it could be boilerplate copy from the sponsorship package or some other sales material. Nothing wrong with that.
What would be better is to tell us about your personal experience with the product in your Honda.

1998 I was the 3rd person in history to run a 9 second 1/4 mile pass in a FWD Honda using a Phantom Grip 901 unit.
2003 I won the first ever NHRA PRO FWD race (8.61@169mph) in a 925 whp 2003 Honda Civic using Phantom Grip 901x, Race Rockers, and Transmission Cradle. That Civic won the NOPI Xbox championship that year also.
2008 I won at Sebring International Speedway (SCCA event) ahead of 47 other race cars (Many of them were using other LSD brands) in a 275 whp Honda Delsol SPU car using a PG 902x unit.
Phantom Grip units look simple, but offer more tuneability than one might think. PG units work awesome when installed and used correctly.

Cool!
What is your experience with the lifespan of the PG for a road-course car. Does it last long enough to go through a few seasons to a point when you'd be tearing the trans down for another reason anyway?

Phantom Grips will last well beyond and full season of racing. Many top teams have won using Phantom Grip units in SCCA,Grand Am, IMSA,etc. I know of teams who have run as many as 8, 6 hour endurance races before any inspection of PG units with no problems. These units will out last the car in most cases. Install and Tune them correctly and you will see the awesome results.

Re: Phantom Grip LSD install B Series transmission.
Are there any specific things to watch out for on install that will have a big effect on performance or lifespan? Sorry for the third degree, but I've always wondered about these and the OPM units as well.

The install is easy. I would say watch out for the pins and clips and make sure they dont stay in the case. As far as upgraded springs I have not needed them yet. Mine is holding up great.

Re: Phantom Grip LSD install B Series transmission.
Looking at the pics that is not a Phantom Grip. THAT IS A KNOCK OFF! I used to work for Phantom Grip and dealt with a few these. Once people had the REAL Phantom Grip unit they were happy. Contrary to popular belief, a lot more goes in to making the Phantom Grip than a knockoff. Materials and methods used cost more money so the people making the knock offs wont do it. They will just make it look like the Phantom Grip and sell them cheap on eBay. I would suggest calling Phantom Grip and they will help you straighten things out.

End clips are totally different than Phantom Grip's, Also the color of material is similar to a none heat treated unit. That is NOT a Phantom Grip for sure.

Interesting read. I learned a lot about Phantom Grips after reading this. Sucks that the O/P (apparently) got a knockoff when he thought it was the real deal.

Well I have a reciept right here from the seller whom bought it. As far as paperwork goes I have the real deal.
It works great. And even if it is a knock off (which would suck) this was an INSTALL thread which many have used to install. So take it for what it is and thanks for the posts everybody
