oBD0 code 11
My ecu is throwing code 11, and from all my research, no one seems to have a description for it... Does anyone know what code 11 is. One guy suggested it was an ABS sensor, but hes the guy i bought it off, so for all i know, he could be giving me a line of BS lol. I trust the guy, but if someone could verify, that would be awesome.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: oBD0 code 11
There is a code 11.. it is for cars that were sold without a catalytic converter.. Code 11 is for a sensor called the IMA sensor.
The IMA sensor manages how much CO is in the exhaust using the O2 sensor as a guage.
Since you didn't mention what ECU you are running, its a guess, but my money is on that you have an ECU looking for an IMA sensor, and a car that doesn't have one.
Your options are to get a different ECU that does not expect an IMA sensor, or do the work to install the IMA sensor the ECU is looking for.

Your problem is exactly the one I describe then.. The PM7 is one of the ECU's that has this problem. Your choices are to wire up the IMA sensor, which i would say is a waste of time and energy, find a new PM7 that is not one that looks for the IMA, or find a chipped PM6 and run PM7 maps in it.
Out of those 3 options, the chipped PM6 might be the easiest.. talk to chris or any of the people at xenocron.com and he can get you the ECU you need.

Doing one of the things I mentioned will absolutely have a huge impact on your e-test. Right now, that ECU is looking for a sensor that is used to control your car's emissions, and not finding it at all.
I bet even getting a PM6 that isn't chipped would be a substantial improvement to what you have now.

But my main concern in doing a bunch of work the wont solve the problem. Im not being lazy lol, I just an a busy dude! These are some figures im getting...
Curb Idle
HC ppm - limit = 200 reading = 1278
CO % - limit = 1 reading = 6.89
NO ppm - limit = 864 reading = 2470
So going with those numbers, what do you think, will the ecu fittling do it justice and pull those numbers down? or do i have something hideously whole with my engine? lol

Re: oBD0 code 11
Hey jilicrx, thats super helpful, thanks! Ive spent so friggin long looking for PM7's, and the one I find doesnt work :/ Its just frustrating that i cant get a damn ecu that works! I ran a PM6 before and the emissions were about the same. There has got to be something wrong with the engine, asides from the ecu. If a PM6 didnt fix it, or at least bring it down, I doubt its ecu related. Is that too bold a claim??
