no spark (searched)
ok my car has been running fine since my swap (b18a1) a few problems have occured but all where fixed but now i have a new problem and would like some advice as to what to check..
ok so first off
car is a 91 SI hatch
b18a1 swap (stock)
black and yellow wire from ingnition switch has power
coil seems to be ok (according to my voltage meter)
i have no idea about the ignition module cause the dizzy is no longer on teh car and the car is stranded in a parkinglot accross town and my book says to check in the car.. anyway...
ok so i was driving to work and my car died i pulled into a parking lok and wouldnt start... checked for fuel pressure.. and spark
fuel was good just no spark
so i took teh dizzy off and called for a ride.. got home and checked the coil and its good my repair manual says to test the ignitor in the car with power going to teh dizzy so i cant check that and i know i have power to the black and yellow wire in the 2 pin connector cause i checked that befor i left.. any suggestions?
oh and teh fuses are all good i checked those too...
i dotn want to buy a new ignitor and "hope" thats it cause its $106 and thats alot to waste on something just to "hope"

do you have any codes at the ECU? bad igniter will usually cause a code 15 - could be the main relay or could be the ground at the thermostat housing - the main relay is a dual function relay that powers the fuel pump and also supplies power to the ECU - having fuel doesn't necessarily mean that the main relay is okay - does the Check Engine Light come on for 2 seconds and then go off when you turn the key to the 'on' position? is the screw holding the rotor to the distributor shaft tight and in the right spot? check all of the wiring connections to make sure that they are secure

chec your igniter, when my broke, car just died without any codes and it was igniter, check www.autopartsway.com <-- they should have a lot cheaper igniters than $100

i replaced the ignitor and all gravy.. hopefully thast it and there was no codes either... other than the old 43 that just wasnt reset... but yeah i got it figured out..
