Need some help
i got a y8 head gasket for my 91 si and i want to change it up. How do i go about draining ALL the anti-freeze from the engine, i took the head off a car in the junkyard and there was anti-freeze all in the cylinders when i took the head off, i dont want that to happen to mine.

The Anti freeze you found in the junkyard motor was prob. a result of the car or motor being tossed around. If you just drain the coolant fromn the radiator enough will come out of the engine for you to do your work. Plus if you did get a little antifreeze in the cyl. just a quick wipe would be enough, the rest would burn off, w/ no harm done.

There will be a drain plug on the block..
On a D16a6 it is on the #4 cylinder(passenger side) on the front side
of the block under the exhaust manifold.
You could probably also drain it by removing the coolant temp sensor on the back of the block.
