Default Need a new header!

Hey curious if anyone else is running this setup.

CRX (88 DX)
B20v
Avid mounts
Blackworks racing dual core radiator (fullsize)

Need a header that clears this beastly radiator.

Long story short my OEM radiator popped and I've got a blackworks aluminum one to drop in, but it doesn't clear my PLM (toda-replica) header.

To enable me to run this superior blackworks rad, I need a header that gives me about 3/4" more clearance.

Anyone?

Your best bet would probably be one of the ebay 4-2-1 headers for the B18. They are only like $60 and fit pretty much like stock. But you will lose a few ponies.

Wait, aren't you supercharged?

Read the thread, it appears you have a b18c -- unless I'm mistaken, the b16 header bolt pattern/flange is different from the b18.

(I've got a b16 head)

What brand was that header? You said you bought it from a HT member for 350... Did he make it, or did he just sell it to you?

Looking like a custom header for my setup might be the only real option.

Damn I wish I could find a b16 header that would allow me to run my blackworks radiator... PITA!

All B series have the same exhaust flange.

^ look for a 4-2-1 header that should give more clearance.... personally see the 4-1's and they just stick out and hang low...

Right. The intake manifolds differ between the b16/18.. been out of the game for a bit. Little rusty.

Yeah I currently have a 421, need to stick with that style.

Dropped by the local shop today to inquire about a custom header again, but apparently they aren't open on sundays... and I think tomorrow is a holiday. I guess I'm just waiting now..

Look into some of the Supercharger-specific headers. I know LHT makes one. Maybe they will fit better AND add some power to your setup. Worth a shot!
