[QUOTE=V8CRX;36513798]its a project car that no one has pulled of cleanly. [QUOTE]
oh yes they have. Some dude had pictures of his corvette motor, rearend, dash swap etc running around. Don't say it aint been done. His was clean as hell too besides the gay dash thing. He had pictures of all sorts of crazy fabbed up things he did.
Sorry to **** on your parade.

It's an import forum, did you really expect a 100% open-arms welcome?
From an engineering standpoint, I think it's badass. It's a huge challenge integrating three separate critical systems (engine, drivetrain, chassis) and you're doing it great.

I think a 850 cfm carb is a little big for a 355sbc. using the basic CI x RPM / 3456 = CFM
so... with your engine assuming 85% volumetric efficiency (most n/a engines are around 80% VE, but being a performance application guesstimate 85), and a 5500rpm max engine speed...
355 x 5500 / 3456 = 564.96
Therefore, a 600cfm or a 650cfm carb (looks like you have a holley in the pics) will serve you well. I like mechanical secondaries, always fun to crack 'em open and hear it sing.
