this should answer most of your questions... as far as the dizzy, yes it should be the same colors, but some of the white/var colored stripe wires can be dificult to find the stripe color because it's faded over the years.

are you throwing any codes? if not then you have the EACV wires right.

that diagram is wrong https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif C1 and C2 go to the crank angle wires on the dizzy. also this diagram the colors of the si dizzy wires don't match the dx wires. how do i know what codes i'm throwing? my check engine light is on and it runs like i have a couple plug wires mixed up.

When I ran the two wires from the computer to the distributor, I forgot to label which was which. So I just guessed and I don't know which way is right, since it's not running how it should when I switch it either way. I still have to fix some other problems, but does anyone know what difference it would make if these two wires were switched?

ok i solved the miss, it was the #1 injector wire. but now it starts up find but it's really boggish when you rev it and arfter you rev it a few times the engine light comes on and the ecu blinks 9 times

Code 9:
No. 1 Cylinder Position Sensor (CYP sensor)

Check and make sure your Blue/Green and Blue/Yellow wires running from the ecu to the distributor are in the correct pins. Also, make sure that when you put the 2 white wires (one thin, one thick) into the SI dizzy plug, they aren't in the wrong order.

If these don't solve the problem, then your distibutor might be bad. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmileo.gif

i have all of those wires right, but it's still throwing a code: 9. it runs ok just a little boggy when you hit the throttle off of idle. when the motor was in the si it ran perfect with no codes

make sure the timing is correct cause if it is off that will cause the bogging off idle. my timing is right on and the swap works perfectly in my car but i too have a very small bog from off idle in my car. i am thinking it might be the throttle cable in my car cause the gas pedal almost feels like a it clicks from the off idle position.

thanxs for all you help guys https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif well i test drove it and it seem to run decent. the bogging off idle is worse when the engine is cold and gets alot better when warm. but i just want to fix the code problem. does any body have any idea what could be causing the code 9?

if your wire job is good.. it could be your dizzy.. double check your wires tho.

I'm having the exact same problem.

For shits and giggles I switched the 2 white wires on my Dizzy, my car would not start which them switched wrong.

Hmm.. that's funny. It ran both ways for me, although one way is much better now.
