theres a thread on here right now with a guy asking about where the wiring goes for the door locks for his alarm system
so it was a good excuse for me to remove my drivers door panel and finely install the sound deadener

i finely have all four doors finished ^_^

and since ive been driving around with no carpet for about two weeks now
theres been a new rattle lately
with the ecu cover

so theres that problem fixed

my friends daughter just crashed her 99 accord a few days ago
so saturday.. today im going to to go over to his place and tear the car apart and see how bad the damage is

more updates soon

well as promised

after taking off the body parts
the frame up front is bent over about half a foot to the left
nothing i cant fix but it will take a while
i gotta work on the accord for the next few weeks so updates on the rolls are going to stay small untill then

but i do still have a update
i finished the sound deadener on the driver side floor
i ran out towards the end and had the use the deadener i was useing on the doors but its done
the floor is done ^_^

when i go to the junkyard to get parts for the accord im also going to be looking for seatbelts for the sedan
normal ones so i wont have the whole two peace thing going on anymore

more updates soon

this weekend found a parts car accord
and took a road trip with the sedan ^_^

the accord was a full car before i got there

and yes i did throw the big stuff on the roof ^_^

and for the rolls update this week
i took the carpet to the car wash and rinsed it about 2 times and it kept bleeding out all this oil like stuff
it was just a bunch of coffee im guessing

when i got home i hosed it down some more
till it stopped bleeding out
check this out
eewwww

more updates soon

That's nasty, haha. I steam vac'd my interior recently and was horrified to see what came out of the back seats. Thick black sludge.

yours was worse than mine then
but now you feel like you can eat off it i bet ^_-

todays update was the install of my new cluster
one that is off a 5 speed and with no tach
why?
mainly just because i like those better
i like the way they look vs the ones with tack

so on this rainy morning
i got in the car and started taking things apart ^_^

it will also give me a chance to show you guys how i have my dash lights hooked up
you see the green and black wire here

those two wires are connected to the stereo wiring
for there power and ground sources

and my 2 t5 led bulbs here

anyway moving on
i got the cluster removed
and heres the back of it
the green plug in is the auto stuff
and my green plug on my harness just wont be used anymore

side to side pic of the clusters

if this was any other car build
the owner would probebly do some cleaning at this point
but this is the work car so nah !!

got my new cluster in place
and tested to see if everything was working and yup it passed all my tests

so lets get this install put back together so we show off the finished product !!!

ooooh!!!

aaaaah!!

uummm!!

ive had this cluster for a long time now
ive just been waiting for my mileage to get close to the other one
im about 1000 miles off but i wont tell if you dont

more updates soon

i guess at this point
is where my old cluster goes up for grabs to whoever want it no charge its free
today is the 13th so you have till the 20th to dicide if you want it
you just pay shipping or pick it up and meet Marcos ^_-

ill only hold it for a week and if no one wants it then to the trash it goes
moving on
todays update was cut short
do to rain

got my rear seat removed

got the sound deadener on

next step was to put the carpet back on but before i even got the front seats off
i got rained out

but still made some progress i guess

more updates soon

went to go work on the accord today
and fall is at full swing right now

with one ratchet strap.. strapped to my tow hitch
and my axe slash slush hammer
i was able to get the two bent frames back to a workable spot

even got the bumper support installed

the frame used to be touching the belt
now theres about a 1 inch gap ^_^

after i got that far i called it quits on the accord
and went home to do a service on the sedan

replacing air filter

looks clean on that side right

check out the bottom side thou

replaced it with my clean one

then moved on to the spark plugs
my spark plug rule on all cars is run them for two years
but after the first year
remove them and check gap and re lube, this way youll never have one seize on you
this was the check them year for the sedan

this was the worse one of the four

and after a re gap and cleaning

also changed the oil
the sedan and all my cars get serviced every 3000 miles
the wheels and brakes every 6000

so one service gets half work done
then the second gets the full work done
repeat

doing work this way makes it so if something is wearing out
or leaking youll find it sooner because your in there more offten

thats the idea anyway
more updates soon

thanks bro ^_^

i try to make it like a weekly thing
no matter how small the update
i just enjoy working on this civic theres no other way to say it

on sunday this week we got our first snow fall here in lincoln

and by tuesday it all melted and it was about 70 out
and i had about 3 hours to spare
so it was carpet install time
i ripped those seats out so fast they were flying

looks way better now in there it looks complete

its really hard to say how much quieter it is now with that carpet on
the noise levels have dropped about 40 percent id say
sleeping in the car while its moving on a trip is going to be great now im sure

when i took the carpet out the sound was like a car with a fart can
it doesnt matter if you have the 20 dollar one or the 3000 dollar one its a fart can
thats the sound it had
then when the sound deadener was on fully
it was as calm as when the carpet was on
and now with the carpet
is when you can truly notice the diferance in noise its great
but theres still one more thing i want to sound deaden and that would be the firewall the under hood side
and behind my dash so thats coming out soon to get that done
but at the same time i feel like it would be a waste of time since were going right hand drive next year ^_^

anyway ima stop before i keep rambling

i have a broken upper control arm and a timing belt job coming soon
stay tuned

got alot of work done today
starting with a tire rotation
and brake fluid change while i was at it

once i made it to the drivers front
it was time to change out the upper control arm bushings
every bump in the road leaves a thunk sound along with plenty of feedback at the steering wheel

now the replacement bushings cost 28 at honda
and 24 on ebay
these are the bushings that i would have to press in

but on rock auto you can get the whole control arm for 18 shipped
so thats the route i took
and it comes with the bushings ^_^

kept the bushings and the control arm is free for who ever wants it
just pay shipping

got that all put back together and then went to harbor frieght
to get some ratchet wrenches replaced

then drove out to the junkyard
and found a hood for the accord
its a little scratched but not dented and its black

threw that thing on the roof and took it to the accords garage

more updates soon

im not going to take the test again and renew

haha
yea you might be right on that

the way i see it since im not racing the car around
theres no need to be staring at the tach all day
i like to feel the car when driving
the feel on the steering wheel and seat as the revs climb

but with a tach on there you keep staring at it
every time you rev and shift gears

it cant be helped
so this way i can now drive without looking at the cluster every 20 seconds
its a big change
i feel like i can enjoy the drive a little more now

its amazing how so small a change can make such a difference on the drive

you guys should give it a try one of these days
put a peace of paper over the tack for a few days and see how you like the differance

you might like it

you guys noticed that accord limo thing when you log in
what a joke
the ef one is waay better

this weekend i got more progress done on the accord

the support came out and back in a few times while i did some trimming
i got the hood and both fenders one by the end of saturday
but i still have some more trimming to do before we get to welding it together

when i made it to this point the owner of the car came by and we chatted for a bit
and i ended up changing his oil on his 07 accord
after that i called it a day

and today
sunday i went to the junkyard and got another ek 4dr side skirt and some stuff for my other cars
then i got some time at the teams garage
so i got my timing belt swapped over on the sedan

main reason i wanted to change the belt... heres the small story ^_-

back in 2010 my 97 acura integra timing belt snapped
and i got one at the junkyard just to try it on and see if the old b18 was still good
and it was and after about a week of driving the integra around
i went and got a new belt for it (the next weekend)

well now fast forward to 2016 and that old junkyard timing belt is the same one that i used when i
put my b20 together for this build ^_^

the belt it still good too but its just old
its time for me to let it go you could say haha

the new belt has writing on it and it smells like rubber
haha but the old belt is so old you cant even see what brand it is anymore
its a honda oem one and it does not smell like rubber anymore

got some new gasket maker on the valve cover gasket

and after about 30 minutes to let the gasket maker dry the car started right up
and were back on the road

more updates soon

this week i rented out a garage at a apartment complex
its small
10x20
but for my 3 hondas at home it will work fine for all the work i plan on doing this winter

what sold me was that it had electricity
but only one outlet
so if im going to be welding in there
its a bad idea to use my propane heater
because it works with electricity and propane
so i hoped on craigslist and found a propane only heater for 23 bucks

tried it out on my porch and it seems to give off some good heat
but well know for sure how good it is once we use it in cold weather

it looked bigger in the picture thats all i was thinking when i saw it haha
its like 8 inches round

other than that
i took the honda button off a 91 prelude steering wheel

then after a little trimming i got it to fit inside a horn button
that i plan on useing with my momo steering wheel once i get the leather redone

more updates soon

this week i didnt work on the sedan
i got to work on customers cars saturday and sunday
i installed a camber kit on a ford focus and then did a alighment on it
but still needed more parts to install so i didnt finish making the wheels straight
so next week thats coming up

i set up my alighnment rack ^_-

very simple set up and works everytime

then on sunday i changed out 3 tires on a ford exploror
and also to save cash heres my air compressor set up

3 gallon harbor friaght compressor
and a 11 gallon air bubble gives you 14 gallons
more than enough for installing tires

been driving the sedan 7 days a week about 20-25 miles a day
but i think its time we went on a drive
get on route 66 for while
or do a few laps on the teams rally course
maybe soon

Yeah dude I would love one of those 3rd gen lude wheels if you can get one for me. Been looking on eBay, craigslist, offerup and most of the junk yards and I've only found one that was pretty destroyed from an accident. I need to get rid of this ugly banana wheel lol.

Sounds good man. It's actually getting fairly close. I got the car as a shell from the junk yard fully stripped, no doors, fenders, wiring, bumpers, breaks pretty much just the shell. I wired it up using a 99 civic engine harness and besides the gauges I'm running I only really had to run about 4 wires for power and ground to get it going. Just gonna be a really light all motor drag car with a b20 non vtec. I appreciate the help on the wheel man.
