looking into engine work...
I have been looking at engines for a while. I was thinking of a ZC, but I heard that it is not worth the money. The B16 is too much money for me...
If I was to overhaul my CRX Si engine, any recommendation on parts to swap? Camshaft, pistons... from where and how much are they?
All I want is a zippy DD for the summer. One that won't fail when someone tries to race me.

I'd get aftermarket pistons just to bump the compression a little and invest in a port and polishing kit. Decent parts and small jump in power for very little in price. Cams will help, but you have to make sure you clearance the motor to make sure you don't tap the pistons with the valves.

JRSC is what I would do to a "healthy" stock CRX Si on a budget. They can be had pretty cheap used. The money spent would be about the same in the end but with much better results.
