Labor cost for timing belt on b16?
is the labor cost of 120 dollars for doing the timing belt and water pump a good price? it's a side job from a friend's friend.

that sounds a little too cheap. if you're not going to do it or have a friend help you do it , i'd take it to a shop.the timing belt itself isn't much work but getting to it is a bear. plus i doubt a friend of a friend can warranty his work

no this friend of my friend is currently employed at honda as a mechanic... he said he'd do it for me for about 120... the motor is still in the car.. i just have to buy the parts, but that's no problem. So should there be anything else i should do besides the timing belt and water pump?

if you don't mind spending the money, have him do it. you can't beat experience though. like they say , if you want something done right... .you oughta see if he'll let you help out and learn what he's doing and why. he may not be around 50,000 miles later. i'd do it if i were you but, i'd want to participate.... and not pay any money.
