if you are planning to get it, make sure you get all the parts you need or else it will not fit the car

- JDM front bumper assembly
- JDM front bumper filler
- JDM fenders w/side markers
- JDM radiator support; "T-BAR" section only
- JDM headlights & clear corner lights
- JDM clear bumper lights
- JDM SiR Hood

good luck!

Fenders are not necessary. USDM is the same just without sidemarkers.

You don't need either of these parts.....

Fenders are "the same"

So is the T- bar from the ef8 and ef9.....just need to mod it or your existing one

The difference is easy to tell apart. Here's my ef8 front bumper

- wrap around signal lights are a give away
- whole extra section of air ventilation on the upper part of the grill area
- longer signal lamps and the front come out slightly further

the hood is also easy to see, the whole center section is "raised

The T bars are different. Its just you CAN use your existing one with some washers to help you align everything up.

the ef8 and ef9 t bar is basically the same as usdm and cad.

the ef6/ef7 model with sir front end (90-91 i believe) is the tbar you need for a perfect fit without modding.

It may not be an SiR hood or Si hood....
Sir the entire center section is raised, Si has the ZC bump on the left side...

Anyone here came across a write up about USDM T-bar with jdm frontend using washers and other bolts? it would really help for other people who's doing a jdm frontend.

I know for a fact that my USDM t-bar would not fit my EF9 front end unless I used washers to space it forward (which is tacky and a stupid thing to do.) I would recommend looking for the proper t-bar

so much false info in this thread
trying to use chassi codes to i.d. a JDM front end is pointless because some of the same chassi came w/ different front ends as well as some chassi like the EF1 and EF3 came in hatchback as well as sedan.
You can use a USDM t-bar but it needs to be extended out w/ washers because the SiR/SiR style front sticks out about .25-.5 of a inch further then the USDM ED front ends, From the hood, front filler and front bumper stand point.

I say SiR style because the EF3/1 {90-91}(referring to the hatchback model) came a SiR style front end but is not a EF9
You do not need fenders and you do not need the corner lights, you can use the original corner lights that came on your veh. (if you have a 90-91 because the both have slide tabs and not screw tabs like the 88-89 corner lights)

They're two style JDM T-Bars one with the airbox vent whole and one w/out.
Which one comes on which car is uknown to me but from what I remember the EF9 t-bar will require some slight modifications in order to fit the hood properly depends on if you purchase the front end together piece it.

If anyone needs a real comparison between the JDM t-bar and the USDM ED t-bar let me know and I'll be more then tickled to head down to the junkyard and pick up one.

88-89 side mouldings are different then JDM side mouldings on the upper lip portion
88-89 rear bumpers are different then 90-91 EF rear bumpers
EF rear filler pieces are also different then all year 88-91 USDM rear filler pieces.
The hood latch does not line up the same and you will need to delete your original one if you plan on using and JDM rear filler
modification is also required to your rear trunk if you plan on running a 90-91 EF rear wing.
Its hangs a little lower then the USDM rear wing and you'll need to cut a small portion of your window seal in order for it to fit nearly perfect.
JDM corner lights only have one bulb sockets where as USDM ones have two bulb sockets.
JDM front and rear bumper support brackets are different/thinner/lighter then USDM front and rear bumper support brackets.

hopefully that helps on some of the differences

EF7 T-Bar is correct for hood fitment when applying the JDM front to a 88-91 USDM CRX (any trim model). Don't argue with me - that's the right answer

To the OP. Just get the ViS "SiR style" USDM carbon fiber hood. The middle is raised just like the JDM front, and the whole car looks updated and newer.
