ITR 5 lug on 91 EF Si?

i have tried searching for it but have came up empty handed. Can you put ITR 5 lug onto a 91 EF Si?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

for the rear use stock itr 5 lug rear trailing arms, or un bolt the hub and bolt to civic trailing arms but the big trex head bolts are hard to get off

front get ethier 88-91 civic ex or integra da knuckles and new wheel bearing for what ever kuckels you get, have the machined to fit the itr hub and press back together pretty simple but cost more then doing on new civic because of machine work

u could also just upgrade to 11.1 brakes and use 4x100 its the "all in the family" brake upgrade, witch you get the knuckles from above get prelude 4x114 11.1 rotors redrilled to 4x100 and itr calipers bolt to the new knuckles

if you already have 10in front rotors no need to change the knuckle

yes, but it's not worth the cost. only do it if you get them for free or dirt dirt cheap

Sorry, I should clarify: the performance benefit isn't worth the cost. My mindset is stuck in "what's the track benefit, per dollar?" and in that realm... it's not beneficial.

Obviously, if you feel happier with the car, then you can validate any purchase. but the performance benefit vs. the cost (unless exceptionally cheap), is a let down, especially including the cost of new wheels for the 5-lug hubs.

Re: ITR 5 lug on 91 EF Si?

thank you all for the info. i think it be worth it. i have a cali tahitian green si. and think it would be sick on 5 lug and well worth it. and i think the braking capabilities would be disgusting seeing as itr's have the biggest oem honda brakes and ef's are so light. but i found a deal for the entire set up. front and rear with brand new brakes for 800 bucks seems to be good to me..??

so if i were to use adjustable upper control arms on the front would i even have to mess with changing out the hubs and what not. cuz i know the bends on the front spindles are different from stock ef's and would throw off the alignment.

thanks in advance.

you have to have them machined here is a pic of my crx with itr knuckles, it looks like a lowrider on hydro's, no way could a camber kit fit that

yea its true... you have to machine the itr hubs... its my second crx 5 lug conversion but cant find a shop to machine my hubs around here... hey k20rex how much was it for you to get them machined?? my first set was free since my dads buddy did it at no cost but he moved....

If you're looking for points at your JDM car show, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, hundreds upon hundreds of people have found that the OEM brakes with a good pad/rotor combo will stop an EF just as good as any big brake kit.

Folks who have done the 5-lug swap will try to justify it to no end, but in reality it is more a show mod than it is a performance mod (remember too, you're adding weight with 5-lug). If you're ok with that, then more power to you.

Any machine shop with a lathe should be able to do it.

Re: ITR 5 lug on 91 EF Si?

thats what i thought.. but the ones i have gone to have told me it was a liability issue i guess they are scared of being sued if i crash due to the hub cracking...lame...i know..since after you machine the itr hubs they are the same thickness of the regular stock si hubs....thats the only thing holding me back from getting it done....

Re: ITR 5 lug on 91 EF Si?

That looks absolutely sick!! I don't have the cash for a Kswap but I did do a B18C swap (yes JDM) in my baby a few years ago.

Question about the CV joints (axels). If i'm using the ITR hubs, that means i'd have to find ITR axels then right?

What midshaft would I use?? I know for the B-swap I had to get a half shaft from a 90-93 manual DA.

I'm just worried about the specs of the Axels as they might be too long or too short for the Rex.

Thoughts?

Oh and another thing... Did you bother replacing the brake booster? I've heard that the brakes are mushy if you just do the 5 bolt conversion.
