Integra front rotor/caliper on '90-91 EX Knuckles....is this the way to go?

I have the entire front knuckle assembly from a '98 Integra.

Now I've read that you can use the Integra front knuckles but that it throws off the geometry, and that the '90-91 EX knuckle is what you want to use.

Should I source 90/91 EX Knuckles and then just throw my Integra brake setup on it?

Or am I missing something?

the teg brakes wont fit...the caliper will hit the rotor with the pads in it....you gotta get the DA knuckles cuz the 98 ones wont be able to align right

Jonathan_ED3 03-21-2004 08:07 PM

The Teg brakes won't fit what? The EX knuckles? Or the stock knuckles?

I've read that the DA knuckles screw up the suspension geometry, so if at all possible, I want a setup that will use the EX knuckles.

DC calipers don't bolt up to EX knuckles? Only DA will?

just get the 90-91 ex knuckles

then go to the autoparts store and order

90-91 ex rotors ($25-$30) each
90-91 ex LOADED calipers (will come with mount bracket to knuckle) ($45-$55)each

thats all you need and youll be set

im not sure about caliper interchange but pad are the same for the ex and integra

How the hell do you change just knuckles?

Just take off the calipers, rotors, and caliper bracket and slap it on the new set of knuckles. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Thanks for the link. That gives me some insight.

As far as using the EX knuckles, I know that's the way to go.

My question now is whether or not the DC/EM1 brake calipers bolt up to the EX knuckles?

Reason I ask is becauase I scored a mint set of '00 Si calipers for cheap.

I don't have any EX knuckles to test fit on, but I do have access to DA knuckles. I assume since the DA brakes fit the EX knuckles, then the brake system is the same.

Therefore if I try bolting up my calipers to DA knuckles that will give me an answer, yes?

Or if somebody knows off hand, that would be great too.

bump!

I've looking at DC (94+) calipers on EX knuckles as well. Anybody know for sure?

I slapped on DC calipers, rotors, pads, etc on DA knucles and they went on perfectly. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

I can confirm that Integra calipers bolt right onto the EX knuckles. So do the 99/00 Si calipers...as they're the same as Integra calipers (and I've physically mounted both)

Finally found me a set of EX knuckles, so this isn't just theory. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

I can get another set of EX knuckles in the next few weeks, if anybody needs a set.
