I got no HEAT!!!!

Well actually i do have heat, but my blower doesn't work at all, i searched, and they all basically said check the resistor coils or wahtever. Did that (they looked kinda ratty but they were all still connected) and my blower still won't budge. It used to work on speed 4 only, now it just doesn't want to work at all. Checked with a test light to see if the motor was gettin power and it was. So i was about to replace the motor when my old one kicked on again, u think maybe the blower gave it one last shot then finally died???? Any ideas????

Sounds like the brushes are worn out..

If you tap the bottom of the blower motor with a hammer,
{easy now, killer...}
sometimes it will start running and work for a little while longer..

Yea actually that used to work, have my passenger kick it, but now that doesn't work anymore, and what brushes are you talking about? where they located?

If the resisters looked ratty??? by taht do you mean like gunked up, bent?

If so that will create high resistance, which could burn out your motor(may have happened in your case) or decrease its efficiency

Get out a voltmeter(DVOM) and check what the resistance is on um.

by ratty i ment they had some kinda clay on them, i thought, hey maybe thats suposed to be there, it was hard as sh*t though, so i dunno waht the hell it was, it wouldn't come off

get a new resistor. if it was only working on setting #4 before, then it was surely the resistor going. now its totally gone. replace. question answered.
