Default Hybrid axle: 90-93 Integra axle shaft mated with ED6 axle end in order to use ED6 spindle/hub assemb

Please just read my post, it is a long post, but I need some answers here. I am doing the typical LS into an ED6 swap. I know how to do it, but I want to do it a little bit differently. So here it goes:

Seriously, will the end of an ED6 axle (or the splined nub) fit onto the 90-93 axle shaft? I want to be able to use the small spline knuckle/spindle/hub assembly that is currently on my ED6, but take apart an integra axle and mate it to the small ED6 axle end. I was told that both axles are soo close to the same length, which is why people always opt for the integra axles when doing a b-series swap. However, as we all know, in order to use the integra axles, you have to have the integra spindles. Then again, I want to keep my ED6 spindles.

Yes, it may be a little bit weaker, but i'm going for it. On a second note, if anyone has done this and it has broke due to lack of strength, then I might not do it.

Let me know!

I'm not sure if I can help you but I think I can give you some idea. I got a Honda civic 91 (ED1) model. Its powerplant is 1.2, 16 valve. 3 years ago, I swap the engine out and put a 2nd Gen B16A (EG6 engine). The spindle and the axle are totally different from the stock. The spindle that I used is from integra and the axle is from EG6. But the axle is too long. I cut the axle to shorten it and put a thread like a bolt to lock both ends then weld it back.

Its fine up to now, but it is still in testing stage. I haven’t tried to burn out my tires because somebody told me that if I do there is a big possibility that the axle will break. I think thats true.

I'm not sure if we have the same axle. But mine is just like a metal pipe with nothing inside that stretches from left to the right wheel (Stock). So it’s totally useless with the new engine.

you can e-mail me at rmon333@yahoo.com

Is there any one who can give me an idea if the transmission of the first gen B16 is the same size with the 2nd gen B16. thnx
