On a related note, I found that while sitting it traffic, the clutch would start to make the car creep. It seems the cable would get hot and stretch a little. My clutchmasters clutch engages very low, so it would start to engage. My solution was to get some reflective heat wrap from Jegs and wrap the whole line under the hood, securing with wire ties. It hasn't been a problem since.</TD></TR></TABLE>
what did you do to your clutch? i know about the clamp, its the wrapping that im asking about. how much was it?

That's the wrap I used, I got the regular kind, as I figured it can't be THAT hot in there. If I remember I'll get pics at some point.

Did it last night...man it was a bigger difference than I ever thought it would!
I'm sure my ACT HDSS kit's pressure plate was just mashing that bushing. Pedal feel is much much more precise, I was actually jerkin my car a little bit this morning hehe!

I was hesitant to bump this thread back up, but while we're at it... I put a hose clamp on my clutch cable bushing, and it's true, there is a much better feel. It feels like you "bled" the clutch cable, if you can imagine that. No more slop at the bottom.

I'm gonna give this a shot... I've had a few problems with pedal freeplay and the feeling in the pedal, so I have no doubt this will help. What is a good place to clamp it to for straight bends if you don't have a strut bar? I want that nice clean look too!

Yea... I'm gonna run to home depot in an hour or two so I'd like to know as well.

The best part of a cable tranny is feeling!!! This gives you more feel in the foot which is awesome!!!
Props to the original poster! I think the hose clamp works better cause you can tighten it up, but overall an excellent 50 cent mod!!!

Re: HOWTO: Happy clutch cable.
I'm sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead, but can someone PLEASE explain this to me > where this "hose clamp" goes exactly on the rubber bushing at the end of the clutch cable.
(I understand that the 1st topic is different from my 2nd topic).
My main circumstance is that my clutch cable adjuster keeps getting loose because the rubber piece underneath it, which stops the adjuster from spinning, has broke. I need someone's help ASAP!
