my setup: D16y7
ok so ive read up mos of this stuff.... but heres my problem. the car is cold.. i start it up the engine revs upto 1200rpm once it warms up completely the engine revs upto 1600rpm.... so once the car was warmed up i took off the intake and covered up the bottom hole (the FITV) and the car shut off! now supposevely the the FITV shouldnt be sucking any air after the car is warmed up so im ??? i took out the IACV and cleaned the screen put back on and the same thing... what should i do??

they are also on the f22a6 motor from the 90-93 accord ex-r, i know because i had a bitch of a time working on that motor and the FITV had to be re-tightened. If you have one of these, I HIGHLY recomend tightening it. The OP is not kidding when he says it makes a HUGE difference.
