Default how do you hook up the speedometer sensor?

hey im trying to hook up my speedometer to my motor or how ever it goes. the old one was broke. anyone have a write up on it? i couldn't really find it in my manual. thanks

its one bolt. take it out and then pull the vss

yep. on the backside of the trans near the firewall

well you should defiantly check if its hooked up correct, but if it is all good then just go ahead and replace those cables, its cheap. sounds more like the cluster might be bad if both aren't working. im not the expert on this, just trying to give some help. but im pretty sure your odometer will fix its self once you fix your speedometer. if you need help with the install or location let me know and il try and get pics up if you seriously need it.

if they dont work then yes your vss being muffed up is a possibility. check the cable to see if its intact, and clipped into the speed sensor properly. you can check the cable by spinning the flexible metal part inside with a power drill and looking to see if your speedo moves.

yes thatll be a great idea if yu can post some pics,.
i have no idea where the speedo cable is.either the speedo sensor!
and how can i test my cluster?
ive been trying to fix this for the past two weeks,getting restless.
