Default 91 civic hatch race project

So i currently have a 91 civic hatch as a daily driver and want to make it street car. I have a b18a1 with gsr tranny with chipped p28 ecu in it currently but want more. I purchased a b16 head with supertech springs, retainers, and flat valves. And skunk2 pro series intake. I also have a b18b1 block that im sending to the machine shop to get freshend up bcuz i want to do an lsvtec swap. I want nothig less than 400hp. The following is what im going to be buying.

-10.1:1 compression supertech pistons
- 850cc injectors
-c.a.t. Rods (acl rod and main bearings)
- aem fuel rail
- 2 volvo turbo fuel pumps
- greddy turbo kit
- golden eagle lsv kit
- gsr oil pump
- gsr water pump
- gsr timing belt
- chassis engineering roll cage
-tractions bars (ebay)
-23x8x13 slicks
-and im changing the tranny for a b17 tranny. I also forgot to mention that i have a microtech igbt box that im gonna be running with individual coil packs off the crank sensor from the gsr oil pump.

so far my mind is so fried with doing research that i dont know entirely what im missing. PLEASE HELP ME!!! Lol. I know for sure ima need a throttle body and cams but what cams do i use with the supertech vt? And what else? What else am i not seeing? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

This is kinda veg. Before naming parts out to buy you should consider what your budget is going to be for this build. There's a bunch of stuff your missing and things you shouldn't really be worried about til after the motor is built. I wouldn't worry about slicks or a roll cage until the motor is fully built, brakes, suspensions; the whole nine yards. To make this a monster it isn't just modifying your motor; you have to build the whole car. But once again it all depends on your budget.

Ive got a budget of 4 grand more or less.... Alot of parts ill be getting from a friend of mine that has a honda shop and will be selling or giving me parts. I just need a list basically and will go from there. My budget also depends mainly on what i need tho.

Oh and i have a fully adjustable suspendion and bigger calipers with cross drilled slotted rotors already. So my suspension and brakes are taken care of. Thats why i wasnt too worried about that. So far the car is built really decent. Its the motor that i want to focus on bcuz of the fact that the car has had so much done to it brake and suspension wise.

If your looking for advises for products you'll have to look at other turbo build threads on here. But ill entertain your post. Your missing a good clutch kit, arp headstuds, block guard, springs and retainers, possibly bore your block with 85mm pistons, good flywheel, arp flywheel bolts, cams like skunk2, comp2, crower etc. Look into lsd too if your truly serious about making a good street race car.

Act stage 3 clutch kit, arp head studs i have, i heard a block gaurd just puts pressure on the top part of the cylinder and end up with cooling issues on the lsvtec swaps. Is this true? I have supertech dual springs and ti retainers, im buying supertech 10.1:1 compression pistons for the ls 81mm which i heard work like a charm. Flywheel i dont have so what would i get? And then cams...... Will i be able to use skunk2 tuner 2's with my supertech vt? And the b17 tranny im getting from my friend is jdm lsd so im good there as well. Thank so much i really do appreciate it

You should of posted what all the parts you already have for the build. For the cams you'll have to go to the website i believe they have a chat that shows what the cams are compatible with. Flywheel wise I'd get a lighter flywheel but don't get it too light, get like 9lbs. If I was building this motor I'd put a block guard on it... No matter what there will be people saying it's not worth it. Just gotta do some research on them to make your own answer if you feel like you need one.

I hear people using skunk2 often with the manifold. I dont know why you didn't build and turbo the b18c

Skunk2 or blox are good to use. Also gotta figure out how many mm you want your throttle body to be. The bigger it is the more air/power but you need to have tune to use too big of a throttle.

I dont have a b18c in it. I have a b18a in it now. And ok great, need to look up for the skunk2. Ill probably end up using either a 68mm or 70mm throttle body but like you said with the tune it would need to be a great tune
