Default Help on b16 alternator belt

I broke my alternator belt on my crx and when i went to replace it i got a belt for a 00 civic si and it was to wide but we made it work because i was out of state and needed to get home. Well on the way home that snapped off because it was to wide. What kind of belt do i need to get for my car.

Just out of curiousity, which is the B16 belt that is an inch shorter and makes for not having to dent in the frame rail? I dented mine in and it worked out great but I'd like the added insurance that it's short too.

Well last night i tried a 91 integra ls belt but it was to wide to. I have 3 ridges on the alternator pulley and 4 on the other pulley. So what belt should i get? My car is eating belts like there swiss cheese.

I had the same problem of eating belts. And I finally went to the dealer and got a civic si (dohc) belt. I believe I had to change the pulley on my alternator because of the same issue you had with 3 ridged belt opposed to the 4 ridged belt.

I'll post it for you in a bit... I'm currently using this belt... it's actually a Daiko alternator belt, not sure what car it's supposedly for.

well if you have the original one you snapped then you could bring it there and compare...otherwise a 94 del sol dohc should work fine. haha mine looks bad i have a chunk missing but it hasnt snaped yet....also check out your pully maybe something wrong with it
