have some questions regarding my GSR swap crx
Whats up? Well as of right now i have a boosted DOHC ZC in my 89 crx si. I have been wanting more out of it so i just decided to buy myself a mint 2000 GSR engine. I have almost everything I need for the swap but mounts now. Im going to be doing the cable to hydro conversion but i dont know what to do about the electronic VSS for the speedo so some insight would be great. Also the DOHC ZC has a halfshaft with equal length b-series axle's and i was wondering if i could just take that halfshaft and axle's and just swap it onto the GSR? Help the b-series noob out any advice is greatly appreciated
-Robert
EDIT* from what i read a couple postings down is that i can use my old d-series speed sensor in replacement of the VSS?

Re: have some questions regarding my GSR swap crx (ZC DOHC CRX)
the zc halfshaft will not work. you need a 90-93 DA 5spd teg half shaft. And also 90-93 axles. non-abs or abs doesn't matter. On the passenger side you can actually also use 94+ teg axles. Abs, non-abs, auto trans, manual trans doesn't matter. So if the axles you have match what i listed above then you can still use them
for the speed sensor i was told before that i could not use the stock d-series vss in my ls tranny. Just looking at my old vss on my Si trans, it doesn't even look like it would work properly in a b-series application, but who knows i could be wrong. you of course have a hydro gsr tranny but i believe the same still applies. i had to get a 90-93 teg 5spd cable vss in order to retain usage of my stock cluster and speedometer cable.
