Default hatch rattle

im lookin into putting a small sub in the back but the damn hatch rattles like crazy and i dont want it rattling even more from the sub, any suggestions to eliminate the rattling? i was thinkin maybe new weather stripping?i dunno but any help is appreciated

check the rubber bump stops on the doors and hatch. Twist them out a little or just play with it a bit.

a few layers of electrical tape around the loop of the trunk latch eliminated most if not all of my rattles and squeaks coming from the hatch.

Try listening for vibrations from the outside of the car. On my 91 hatch I filled the wing with expanding foam. Also the foam inserts in the bumper cover sometimes rattle. And the rear filler panel. Basically everything rattles, get a ton of dynamat.

dynomat is probubly your best bet. every freaking think in my hatch rattles but mines from having solid/really hard mount bushings, and ive not rode in a older swapped honda that didnt rattle like crazy
