Doing a GSR swap into my CRX. Is this gap normal? It's about 1/8" inner metal to metal. I can't force it in anymore than that and have a hard time separating them. I'll just install them together into the tranny. By the way, it's a DA half shaft and axle into a GSR hydro tranny.



Another question, how do you remove the tranny seal?

do you have the whole set up in the car already?
ive had that gap in some integras ive worked on...its so annoying
you have to put the passenger side axel in (if you havent already) then put the tire on and spin it alil bit so that splines line up since i belive they have two sets of splines and you have to get the 2nd set to line up,,,spining it will line both sets up and let it go in...

or u can take off the little c clip thing at the end of the axel and try to put it in and line it up like that and then take the axel out and putting the clip back in( you need the clip dont forget it) if it definetly doesnt fit you might have the wrong axel...autozone gave me the wrong one 3times till i took the original one and measured it

I pulled the set up off the car already. I had everything installed, but then realized I need to use the DA tranny seal at the half shaft, so I pulled everything out to swap the seal. Couldn't pull the axle from the half shaft, so I took both off.

Ooh, the C clips. Glad you mention them. I think I forgot to get some for the axles. I remember seeing them in the parts catalog.
