Default Fuel rail problem

So i got my car to the point of almost starting and everytime i turn over the key to the on position the connection at the fuel rail starts pissing out a bunch of fuel. Ive tried multiple ways of sealing off the connection but nothing seems to want to work. I am using the long rectangular D series fuel rail and stock hose. Any help is much appreciated

there is one or two crush washers that go on that connection, do you have them? look for chips or cracks in the metal

i got a normal washer on the right of the hose and i got a crush washer on the left then the giant nut that goes on right there. one thing i found pretty odd was that the threaded part had a hole going through the end of it but not on the sides like other fuel rails. is this normal for obd1 fuel rails?

One end has threads and the pressure regulator is mounted on the side of the rail.
The other end is plugged off (since the FPR is not located on that side).
Not sure what you are describing in your post.

It's supposed to be nut, sealing washer, hose, sealing washer, and then fuel rail.
No regular washers... that's probably why you are leaking.

right, i guess i havent tried using both sealing washers on both ends of the hose. but as far as the threaded part on the fuel rail goes, theres maybe half an inch of the stud that sticks out that isnt threaded. isnt there supposed to be holes to guide the fuel? if all else fails im just going to try another hose and see if that works.

When you put the washers and hose onto the rail, they should slide over the threads and then on to a non-threaded portion.
The non-threaded portion of the stud has a hole drilled into it to allow fuel in.
You can just barely see the hole in this pic

Is that what you are concerned with?

Assembled with the nut it all seals together

ok yeah when you showed the top pic theres that hole where the fuel flows into, my fuel rail doesnt have that. could i just drill a hole into the portion that isnt threaded?

As far as the washers go, I had the same problem. I used some nylon washers on both sides and it's tight as a ship now with no leaks. Like they said before though, make sure there are no knicks or grooves on the mating surfaces or it can still find a way out.

You know how hard that is to believe?
I don't doubt you... anyone can see a hole, right?
Just flat out amazing to not have a hole.
Fuel can't get into the rail at all without a hole.

Maybe it's not stock and somebody fabbed it up wrong?
