I have been trying to purchase a PWJDM battery box for well over a year from PWJDM and SwapShopRacing and have finally given up completely. Every month they tell me "They'll be ready next month" and that "We're having problems with our supplier"

I finally got fed up and made due with cheaper parts and a bit of work.

I used a piece of 3/16" steel, 3"x9" purchased for a whopping $2 CAD

Some bolts, washers, a drill press, welder, and a diamond hole saw that I had left over from a tile project.

The idea is, make a template from cardboard, and cut the holes as required... The bracket mounts via two holes to existing frame rail bolts. I'll post up some more pics when I get it powdercoated to hide my awful welding skills. It is very sturdy.

Drill 4 holes to bolt the plate to the bracket.
Top right hole (if the battery is sitting straight up and down) will bolt to the frame. Washers are welded behind it to space it away from the frame.
The other hole is roughly 3/4" from the top of the plate. I used a piece of cardboard to figure out where this will be located.
You don't need a hole saw. You can cut a really big hole (enough so a socket on a bolt can fit in the hole) and weld big fender washers or something to the back of the plate, and then drill the hole... Lots of ways to make it. It is a super simple design.
I cut the bottom left corner of the battery box to clear my traction bar bolts.

Just wanted to show that a functional piece can be made for way under $100... This isn't really intended to be a how-to.







I am fed up with PWJDM. This is the only product I ever wanted from them, and well, now I have no reason to ever buy it from them.
