Default engine not running right

i did the dpfi to mpfi swap and the motor wont start with the mpfi ecu only the dpfi and even then it runs crappy

when i have the mpfi ecu plugged in i get code 6 10 13 and 20

so the air temp, water temp, atmosphere sensor, and electrical load detector

and im guessing its the electrical load detector that's keeping me back

so what is the electrical load detector ?

its part of the under hood fuse box and if bumps up your idle to account for increased electrical load,to replace it you replace the whole fuse box.
thats alot of codes, are you positive that all of your wiring is correct? did you mix up the plugs?

As 'grog' suggested, it sounds like you have wiring issues.
I would start with clearing the air temp and water temp as they are pretty easy to wire up/troubleshoot.

Can't remember if the atmosphere sensor is in the ECU for OBD0 or OBD1.
I think OBD0 has it sitting right next to the ECU... which makes it weird for you not to be getting this code with your DPFI ECU.

Atmosphere/Bar sensor is located on the passenger side behind the kick panel, right behind the bottom of the dash - has 3-wire connector with red/white yellow/white and green/white wires

Coolant Temp and Air intake temp (6 and 10 respectively) will make your car not run correctly as the ECU is not getting the correct voltage and therefore running the cold start maps.

ok here's the thing, i was using an 89 Si Mpfi 5 speed ecu and it would never start

but i looked at the damn ecu pin out and the sensor for b10 and b12 are not there on the ecu pinout. but are there on a 90-91 ecu pinout.

i think i just got the wrong ecu, cuz when i dippined the new c1 and c2 with its old plugs it starts up fine runs fine but just wont go past 4000rpms.

so you think my problems would go away if i were to use a 90-91 si,ex,hf ecu?

Fix the other issues first before buying another ECU as those problems will still be there and might be part of the problem why it's not running correctly.

c1 and c2 on 88-89 is the same as b10 and b12 on a 90-91. It's the crank angle sensor. So no matter if you buy a 90-91 it will not matter.

I would double check your DPFI to MPFI wiring to ensure you have the correct wiring especially if the car runs good with the crank angle sensor depinned.

This is where I found my information.

ONCE AGAIN
its not the sensors, ive run tons of engines with no fan swtich, and no air temp

and the motors ran just fine, just gave me ecu codes

but motor would idle and run fine

and I DID CHECK the ecu pinout for the 88 crx si, and at b10 and b12 NOTHING was listed

but it was there on the 90-91 si model.

my wiring is correct, and i tested it all, the wires held up to 24 volts before they would start to melt and smoke and they held 12 volts just fine.

but when i start up the damn car, i get only 8.4 volts from the injector plugs ALL OF THEM

and now im getting a good 12 volts after i put the dpfi to mpfi b10 and b12 back to c1 and c2.

Are you getting the same code on the DPFI ECU as you get when you try to run the MPFI for the ELD?
Somethings not right with just swapping to a different ECU and NOT getting some of these hard codes.

i think this mpfi will not work with the dpfi...you check it out first.

According to his other thread he is running an obd0 ECU and a obd1 distributor which is not possible.

This is why when he switches the c1 and c2 it runs fine. He needs an obd0 dizzy.
