Default ef9 sir steering knuckle code?

Ok, I need to find out if the knuckles I have are actually sir's.... I cut and threaded the tie rod and it seems like stock would have worked. So the code on them is KR14, I hope this isn't the integra xsi code.

I tried to search I have seen the code listed before, but search came up with everything I didn't want...go figure. f**k search sucks!

luciffer might know, he has SIR knuckles.

where are you reading the "code"? on the side of the upright? KR14 doesnt sound like anything familiar.

I know, thats what got me worried.... I know the code I saw before was not KR14. I read it on the side ofthe upright. They are kind of I-beam shaped there, wereas my PR3's are ovalish. Dont know why I didn't check this earlier (I've had them for over a year)

I hope they aren'tteg ones, I wanted to have the same geometry (as far as uca and lca are concerned) and if they are, I'll have to get a new driver side inner tie rod....not sure on the install -Tyson? The manual I have doesn't cover it and I don't think he faq has it although I'll check in a second.

I don't know about ef9 (i have an ef8 crx sir) but www.crxsi.com/jdm has a full parts listing for ef8 and ef9. You should be able to check the part number for the knuckles there. not sure if it will list the code.

I was looking at swapping my jdm lca/swaybar/endlinks for USDM to make it easier to get parts, but I was told that the ef8 subframe is different than USDM so the mounting angle is different for lca, so the knuckle would be at a different angle and tie rods too. Since the angle would be different than the jdm car, jdm tie rods wouldn't help much.

I got the info from a guy that has both rhd and lhd usdm and jdm or edm crx.

Thanks, I'll check that site out. You probably know this but as per my info, DA bearings, LBJ's, rotors, calipers and pads fit.... but all the other steering components might be dicey if your looking for other stuff for your ef8.

Ok, so I had my dad measure the height (the car s at his house 30 mns away) and they are 5/8" taller than my civic knucles, so I think they are xsi knuckles. Let that be a lesson to fit stuff up before cutting anything!

Soooo, will I be smacking my shock towers with this setup sitting pretty low....tucking 1 or more inches of tire?

LOLZ why you have 3 of them? It is on the upright part of the knuckle assembly, in the middle. It should be "sho", I checked crxsi.com and thats what they had....

thanks guys
