EF9 RHD OBD0 B16a swap to OBD1 w/ US P30, ELD questions?
I was wondering if any one can answer this for me... I have a question about the wiring from OBD0 to OBD1 w/ a USDM P30 ECU throwing a ELD code?
On a RHD ef9 harness when converting it from OBD0 to OBD1 I have read that the JDM B16 harness there is no ELD setup, and when you convert it to OBD1 and use a USDM P30 it will throw a code for ELD, Electronic Load Detector, I believe...
I am trying to get the car bard when finished with all OBD1 P30 del sol parts. So I know the easy fix from what I have heard is chip the ECU but I figure that will effect getting it bard. I haven't yet installed the engine and wiring so I am trying to figure this out before hand.
SO MY QUESTION IS HOW DO I WIRE UP AN "ELD?" To keep it all legit...
Also, will I have this same problem on a standard USDM 89 civic si obd0 converted to OBD1 B16A using the USDM P30 ECU? Or do US civic's already have the wiring for the ELD?
Please help getting ready for my build and want to make sure I get all of it right the first time.... thanks

ELD is in the black fuse box under the hood on shock tower.. the purpose is to regulate when the alternator should be on or off to help power things in the car all Honda have them that i know of go to google and RESEARCH use search button this has been covered SEVERAL times

Re: EF9 RHD OBD0 B16a swap to OBD1 w/ US P30, ELD questions?
I have read several threads and google searched as well, but what I am trying to find out is if any one has had this problem and added a ELD to their JDM RHD harness.
Rywire.com has a jdm SIR OBD0- OBD1 ECU jumper for sale but they say that they cannot help with the ELD problem, so thats what im trying to figure out.
I know you can use a different ECU and chip it, but I am trying to get my car "bar'd" and and in doing so you have to use a stock USDM p30 and make your civic as if it was an OBD1 94-95 Del sol vtec B16a3.
Correct me if I'm wrong? or is there some other way of getting around this? I would like to hear from some one who has actually had this problem and got their car bar'd.

I'm in the same boat. I'm considering just having a Reff give me advice. In fact a friend of mine showed up and the Reff gave him the sticker then told him to come back with the swap fixed. Anyway hopefully someone will have the correct answer. Finding a true answer in HT is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Yeah It seems everyone is so quick to say research it, when I have and there is no good info that I have found!
All I'm asking for is either someone who has completed this, adding a ELD to a harness or a good link to a thread explaining how it works and how to add one...
