EF8 Conversion, Type-R Swap done. Thanks Honda-Tech!

FINALLY got my car working 100% with a lot of help from you guys here on Honda-Tech. Just wanted to post some pics and say thanks to all the guys who have posted useful information. I relied on a lot of opinions here for brakes, suspension, exhaust setup, etc. etc.

The writeups were super helpful too - especially for the EF8 gauge cluster, front end conversion, OBD1 conversion... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Anyway, here are pics. Any comments are welcome.

Some night pics. So glad I did the JDM front end conversion. JDM headlights FTW. Light output onto the road is amazing. Way better than stock... Low beams shown here.

Looks great man. I agree with the other posts that if you decided to go a little further with a lip or somthing that would look great. But awesome so far.

P.S. good job on the wheels...R those Rota's?

si0385. 04-24-2006 12:46 PM

glad to see we could help you out thats what were here for:thumbup:

my only 2 suggestions are to paint the moldings back to stock (duplicolor) and add the front lip, expecialy for that front end

Twilight 04-24-2006 12:48 PM

Re: (si0385.)

Looks very nice. The wheels and suspension made the car. Great swap, i can imagine how nice it is to drive.

Good luck with it!!!

Looks good man. depending on how u like the look of it, sometimes the moldings the same color of the car works as well! https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Is that 99-00 si blue?

godruler 04-24-2006 01:29 PM

Re: EF8 Conversion, Type-R Swap done. Thanks Honda-Tech! (TehMoonRulz)

awsome swap but that car is way to blue looking, i think painted moldings make it look like more of a hack/rice type job, i say paint the trim and mirors black again and that shit will be clean as hell.

Re: EF8 Conversion, Type-R Swap done. Thanks Honda-Tech! (godruler)

Looks excellent https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif. Re-black the mouldings, but leave the mirrors/door handles color coded (Special Edition style). Get a lip, lose the flaps, some yellow fogs, and call it a day https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

STDClayton 04-24-2006 02:42 PM

Re: (3s0n3)
