EF B18 swap Linkage and code 4
Hey guys,
I am on the brink of getting this bitch running, I shortened the integra shift linkage 2 3/8" but it doesnt seem to get into gear... I flipped the shifter around so that it would be "angled back" if you know what I mean... I'm wondering if that could cause it to not quite get into gear? Also I get an ecu code 4 which is crank position sensor... I thought I had this resolved by correcting the blue/green and blue/yellow wires (they kind of look liek the same colour) but I'm still getting the code...
Thanks!!

Re: EF B18 swap Linkage and code 4
Normally it throws the code 4 because the pins at the ecu aren't making contact due to people ripping them out instead of depining them. I cant remember for the life of me how much i shortened my shift linkage but i want to say it was a little more than that. I have heard of people cutting it different amounts and it still working. The shifter is supposed to be angled back towards the driver not towards the dash.

When I did the mpfi conversion I depinned the wires, and just stripped the other end and soldered more wire onto it on the ones that needed to be added...
The way the linkage was stock, the shifter kind of angled up towards the dash. I flipped it so it angles back towards the driver... I can't see that messing up the shifting? The shifter does kind of seem like its "back" in the hole where the shifter comes through. Maybe more shortening is needed...

haha yeah kinda thought so... So I guess that means i didn't shorten it enough or something?? It bolts up to all the places its supposed to, the btich pin is in, etc.
The shifter shifts in the right pattern, but doesnt engage the gear. Kind of grinded when i put it in reverse.
Thanks for replies!

Thanks, I'll try using different ecu pins and check over my wiring on that.
GOnna go put some oil in the trans and see if it solves the issue of shifting...
