I believe that it was single, but why would you run a 4" exhaust(to big no power)

Daul Tips=RICE
Single=PERFECT
And why would you need a 4" exhaust anyway. You want some backpressure.

NO YOU DONT WANT BACKPRESSURE.
jesus when will this myth die.

do a websearch for "exhaust gas velocity" or "delta pressure"

back pressure is resistance and is always bad.

Exactly, what people dont understand is that you cant make the exhaust too big, the velocity then drops too low. People that say "you need backpressure" probably put 3" piping on their stock D series. You will lose power that way. The optimal exhaust will have just enough diameter to flow with no backpressure.
