DPFI TO MPFI!!! CAN I USE A 93 CIVIC ECU?

I JUST BOUGHT A 93 CIVIC MOTOR FOR MY 89 DX CIVIC AND IM TRYING TO CONVERT FORM DPFI TO MPFI. BUT I ALSO BOUGHT THE ECU FOR THE MOTOR I BOUGHT CAN I USE THIS ECU OR MY STOCK ONE??

OR, IS THEIR A WAY I CAN JUST WIRE UP MY STOCK ECU AND USE IT???? AND IF THEIR IS CAN I STILL USE MY REGULAR DIZZY??

You could use your stock ecu and save the money on purchasing the obd0-obd1 ecu conversion harness sure, but the right way to do it is use the ecu that was designed for your new engine. You will still be able to use your stock distributor either way.

Do you know where i can find a write up on how to use my stock harness and ecu???

And someone had told me i don't need a injector resistor box to do the swap because the obd1 injectors are high impedance and the obd0 are the only ones that need the injector box because their low impedance. is this true? http://is.rely.net/1-92-30002-l-J5Zy...RHu47Ah02g.gif

And will the motor run right even with my stock ecu and all??? or will it run better with the orignal ecu?

You won't be able to use your D15b2 DPFI ecu and dizzy for anything. They're useless, trash em. Your dizzy and ecu must match OBD's and #of injectors. Your harness could care less; you just wire in new things and rewire connectors

If you want MPFI, you will have to get an OBD0 MPFI ecu and dizzy and do a good deal of wiring.

(preferred, non-ghetto way)
You could buy an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness that includes the MPFI wiring already done. That way you can use your D15B7 OBD1 ecu (you still need an OBD1 dizzy). The amount of wiring is very minimal, adapt the new dizzy plugs, then run two new wires to dizzy and to the injectors. That's about it. http://www.boomslang.us/obd0to1.htm -150, do the wiring yourself.
http://rywire.com/store/8891-c...3b164 -300 get them to do your wiring

You will need the resistor box for OBD0 injectors and not with OBD1. If the resistance between terminals is ~2 ohms, use the box.
