Thanks ever one hope the this helps people out yea I agree I I did number the the injectors rong. The wire colors are right but the number order is rong. Injector 4 should be 1 and injector 1 should be 4. And thanks. For fixing it up a lil. Nooch

Ok, I need to shoot out a really noob question. How do I tell for sure if my injectors are obd0 or obd1? I'm 90% sure that the motor I bought is out of an 88-91 honda of some kind, but I don't know if thats a guarantee? Also, would there be a way to make sure it hasn't been previously converted or anything like that?

Awesome write up bro, i have read a lot of write-ups on DPFI-MPFI and they all have confused me, this one seems very simple and straight forward, just printed it off and gonna try it either tonight or tomorrow and will let you know how it goes.
CRXGUY406, what motor is in your car at the moment? If it was out of a 88-91 it will be OBD0.

Very nice! I have a few questions!
If I want to run obd0 with obd1 injectors (to eliminate the resistor box thingy), do I just wire up the injectors obd1 style but use the obd0 dizzy and harness?
Another question - are all the stock obd1 injectors the same? I have injectors from a d15b7, will they work with any d motor (obd1 or wired to run obd1 injectors)?

You guys do realize that you can just remove the dpfi injector wires entirely and use the ones off the MPFI harness. All you gotta do is de-pin the old ones and plug in the new ones. It's a little more complicated in that you have to follow the wires and make sure you know which goes where but doing it that way eliminates all the cutting and soldering for the injectors. I did it this way and had no problems.

Re: diy dpfi-mpfi swap made easy!!!
Great write up. I just did the swap on my 90 Civic hatch. The only thing I ran into was that when I was done I started the car and white smoke was pouring out the back and my idle was all over the place. Turns out the bracket under the DPFI intake was holding my MPFI intake up enough so the bottom of the intake wasn't seating against the head. I removed the bracket and everything was ok from there on. Another issue I had was with hose routing, mainly on the cooling side in relation to the IACV valve. If looking from the back of the manifold there are 2 tubes at the bottom of the IACV. The one on the left goes into the intake manifold nipple just below and to the left of the IACV. The nipple on the right gets a hose that goes to the coolant tube that goes into the water neck. And if any of you are looking for the hoses for the swap hondapartsdeals has them in stock and they don't cost an arm and a leg and are a proper fit, unlike the ones from auto parts stores. Thanks again!

Re: diy dpfi-mpfi swap made easy!!!
this might be a dumb question, but I couldnt find the answer....even if it bit me...
so, I'm assuming you can use the dpfi engine harness?? That way it still connects to the dpfi car harness, right?
I would just need to swap out the plug for the distributor so the Si distributor plugs into the dpfi harness?
and lastly, i would just need two more injector plugs right?
