The linkage will be modded. how much shorter does it need to be and Where should the cut be? in the middle on the O.E. bend or towards one of the ends?

DO IT ON ALL FOURS

It all can vary some with what mounts/shifter you use... I have seen as little 3/4" up to 1-1/2"... Typically around 1-1/4" if I remember right. You can lean the shifter forward or backward as well to your liking. Make the cut out on the straight piece of the linkage, it's much easier. There was a write up on how to do this closely somewhere... maybe in the FAQ's?

great write-up! I bought my hatch w/ a B18B1 already swapped in but whoever did it seems to have half-assed it so I'm going through and redoing everything I can to make sure it's reliable. This will definitely come in handy

I'll search for a DIY. Thanks

nice right up!!! this cleared most of the questions i had on my mind, im doing a 93 ls swap into my 90 si and i ordered a OBD0 dizzy for the ls, and that description and directions of the stock cooling fan wires helped alot! i was confused about that but thanks no im just gonna extend those wires. umm i was told i was gonna need some different injectors, do you know if i need them? other than that i have my OBD0 pr4, shift linkage is gonna be welded by a friend, other than that im running all my stock SI instruments. anything i missed...?
thanks for the write up and wish me luck...!
btw i should be finish by tmrw!!!!

Re: Detailed B-series into CRX/EF civic parts list, and more!
Im going to be swapping my OBD1 gsr motor into my 90 Si soon. I have all the mounts, shiftlinkage, 90-93 L bracket, 90-93 post mount, and 90-93 throttle cable. obd-0 to obd-1 Jumper Harness. Am i missing anything else? Also my engine harness is Obd1 so would i have to extend the cooling wires? And all this talk about the VSS would i have to be worried about that if im converting to OBD1???

Re: Detailed B-series into CRX/EF civic parts list, and more!
I was told that I can use stock integra mounts, my stock shift linkage, and my axles for for a b18a1 swap into my 91 ef hatch si. Can anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually it was a guy who put one in his crx. I've looked at it and confirmed that they are stock integra mounts. Idk about the rest

I'm just stating a fact. I was there when he pulled the stock mount out of an integra, along with the b18a1 and lowered it in his car. The car runs and no major mods were made. I understand the need for the cv shafts out of the integra, and the shift linkage.

Look I know my motors. I haven't mistaked anything. You guys can soak in your disbelief but I know what I'm talking about.

Now, I will admit, idk if he did any actual mods to the engine bay, such as fabricated his own places for the mounts to mount up.

Re: Detailed B-series into CRX/EF civic parts list, and more!
Ok, well I think I have a more difficult problem that hasn't been discussed in this thread. I have a 89 Civic Si (already has MPFI), and I want to swap in a 96 Integra B18b1. This means that it is OBD2 and I have no idea how this is all going to work. I am looking at hasport for axles, linkage, and motor mounts. The swap I want to buy includes:
-B18b1 engine w/ stock tranny
-96 Teggy axles
-OBD2 OEM ECU
-96 Teggy motor mounts and linkage
How am I going to convert and wire this thing?? DETAIL PLEASE!! I haven't recieved any good advice as to how this will all work. I also need to know how the hydro tranny will go into a cable chassis!

Did you try a simple search on google?
The wiring aspect of these has been discussed to death, and there are numerous manufacturers that make wiring adapters to solve the wiring issues.

The full harness would be nice but I can't afford that right now.
