Deleting my dead A/C system, just disconnect and remove?
Basically I bought a JDM Crx Si and it has an a/c system but the compressor is seized/rusted and will never be used anyways so I want to remove it. It looks like it hasnt been used in 10+ years.
Can I simply start by cracking the a/c lines at the firewall and moving my way forward removing everything?
Im assuming the bumper needs to be removed for the a/c condensor to be removed, but Im curious how much components are INSIDE the car behind the firewall??
There looked to be a few harness connectors and such, and Im assuming the extra fan and all its components can come out no problems?

Disconnect the lines at the firewall and take it all out. I cant remember if the bumper needs to be taken off or not but my guess would be yes. There really isnt enough under the dash to worry about. It was a total of 4.5lbs when I weighed mine.

Inside the car, there is only a big black box under the glove compartment that holds the evaporator.
This is what the lines going in through the firewall hook up to.
It is one of the heavier parts of the A/C system so it's good to take it out.
To properly delete the A/C you would want to remove the box completely and get a firewall grommet that does not have the holes in it for the A/C lines.
You would also need the short duct that hooks the blower fan to the vent ducts on non-A/C cars.
A work around is to take out the black box from under the dash and gut it.
Then seal up the shell of the black box and re-install it.
Without the small duct or a gutted black box, the blower fan won't hook up to the dash vents.

Yes its a RHD EF7, I would be interested, the lines are in great shape, its the compressor that I would say is a paperweight

The fan will work just fine.
the problem is if you remove the black box. Currently the fan blows into the box over the evaporator (to make cold air). The air then leaves the black box and hooks up to your dash vent tubes.
If you remove the black box completely, then the fan blows on the passengers side foot area and that's it.
Putting the duct from a heater-only car in (or the gutted black box) makes the connection from the fan to dash vents.
