D16A6 Head gasket options

Is the rumor true that you can use a head gasket off of a 92-95 Civic Si and get a few points in compression on the D16A6 motor?

Also, there has been an updated part# to the D16a6 gasket. Anyone know if this is good for a few compression points? I know they changed it to a metal type of gasket.

i believe any d series head gasket will work. use copper gaskets, crank em down once and never again. to gain compression use a thinner gasket that whats currently on there

you could use the y8 if you want to go even thinner http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif

88-95 non-vtec d series used a composite gasket...later found to be prone to oil leaks. honda issued service bulletin concerning this saying updated part available...yep you guessed it 92-95 vtec metal gasket. as said before you can use 92-95 gasket(Z6) or 96-2000 gasket(Y8)...y8 is slighter thinner for very slightly more compression and is less $$$ to boot.

so witch one would be safer for a daily driven 88 crx si, with reliability first and foremost?
