crx si tranny
my dx tranny is shot. i need new synchros and so on, a rebuild is like 300. an si tranny is roughly 325$ with low miles. my question is how can i tell the difference between the si and a dx or even hf tranny? i know that if i redlined the stock dx motor/tranny combo i would have to shift at roughly 30mph. where would i have to shift on the si/hf? whats the gearing on them also?

The only tranny you will want is the si. Get it, will be worth it in every aspect.
Hf is worth less. Unless you like doin 80 in second gear...
At 4k rpms in 5th gear you will be doing about 82mph.
Its a great tranny if you can find one in good condistion.
btw: they go for cheaper then that. Try logicdc on here, he has one for around 200 bucks.
