I had the OEM radiator replaced about 7 years ago and the replacement is leaking in 3 places.

You'd think I put acid in it. The OEM lasted 13 years and only leaked because the middle top strap weld failed, probably due to me putting my hand on it while I leaned over in the engine bay.

The half plastic radiators at Autozone are cheap. Has anyone used one? They have an oiler cooler fitting that's just made for leaks.

The oil cooler fitting doubles as a tranny cooler for the automatic versions.

I purchased a alum dual core 1/2 radiator off ebay for 100 bucks shipped. Haven't had an issue with it, ran it on a boosted b20 and also a boosted b16 haven't had any issues with them.

You can pick up a full metal radiator instead of that plastic end tank version. I hate those plastic garbages.

whrre do you get metal one? ive got a leak in my rad too, i was thinking use quiksteel

quicksteel, JB weld... whatever - they all fail on the plastic tanks.
I bought mind from a local radiator shop.
It was some off brand but worked just fine.

I fixed my once; drilled a small hole on both ends of the crack then applied JB Weld.
Lasted until I sold the car.

I bought the AutoZone radiator. Put it on the work bench and removed the fittings I don’t need and after a few seconds I decide there’s no why I’m putting this in my car. It’s junk at best, a toy would be the best descriptor.

Autozone is cool, they give me my money back without grief.

I’ve got one order from HondaPartsStore.com. $300 bucks for a real radiator versus $120 for a toy. Ouch.

Lust is expensive.
