Hey, 91 ef dx, stripping my interior ( like the look, plus to deepclean everything). pretty sure I have si interior(black bottom, grey top) and I have SI seats. Ive taken out the bottom seat, but when it comes to taking out the backrest, theres a bottom rod at the bottom going from one side of the car to the other, and it goes through the back panels through a hole. so I have no idea how I could get to remove the seat, and meanwhile it causes me to be stuck taking out the panels too. any help would be greatly appreciated,

There are clips holding it in! If you are in the car looking towards the rear, look where the interior panel meets the seat. See the pivot? There is a black clip in there that snaps right out! Get a large plier and pull it straight up. After the clip is out slide the seats to one side and they should come out. Very easy once you know how to do it!
