its been awhile, you think it could be that. I know when my other civic filter went bad it would idle but when i give it gas it stalled. This is different its stalling when i im coming to a stop. I can be moving 45mmph to 75mph and put it in neutral or clutch and it well idle perfect. But i as soon as slow down to maybe 10 to 5 mph its stalls. ItS not a random thing either. When i slow down i know its going to stall

if it would stall when u give it more gas and it stalled then it would be ur filter.mine does it some times too...try checking ur iac valve or it could be something along the lines of ur computer cuz it sees the speed and reacts...(kinda like 2 step backwards)

Can you spell check your previous comment, I, personally, cannot understand what you're trying to say.
Specifically:
"I put a walbro pump in it do is there i thought i put in right. Anyone heard of this or experienced this. "
Do you mean, you "put a walbro pump in the tank and it is still reacting the same way." ?

Ok sorry, I find the stalling problem. The car only stalls when the tank is less then a half of tank of gas. So my question is has anyone heard or had this problem. After putting a new fuel pump in

I personally do not know the issue with that, I would suspect a fuel pump sock is clogged but since it's a new pump (and I'm 99% sure it came with a new sock) then I don't know what it is acting like that.
I did notice you posted on: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/running-out-gas-3-4-tank-2629800/ ... So let's see if anyone replys to that.

Re: civic idles fine but stalls
I just picked up an 88 CRX. It was having the same problems. With the gas tank half full, the car died at stops. The honda mechanic put in a new aftermarket fuel pump and regulator and it didn't fix the problem. I did searches on the forum and was convinced that it was the either the tank, or the fuel sock inlet was not long enough or wasn't positioned correctly in the fuel tank bowl. The mechanic didn't see anything wrong.
What he told me is the last person that replaced the fuel pump installed it upside down and he replaced it the same way as what was in there. He claims it was installed upside down, but once it was turned around there were no problems. I'm still under the assumption that the inlet/sock wasn't positioned correctly in the fuel tank.

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: civic idles fine but stalls
It would be impossible to install it upside down... Typical "mechanic" BS to get you to feel good about paying out your butt; trying to get you to come back...

Re: civic idles fine but stalls
I had a similar problem, but it would stall when accelerating out of a left turn. I had just left the mechanic, who cleaned my intake/injectors/replaced fuel filter because the rust in my gas tank clogged up the fuel system.
I drove it home and noticed it would stall whenever I made a left turn. I checked under the hood and smelled gasoline. Found it was leaking from the banjo bolt on top of the fuel filter. The mechanic didn't replace the gasket between the banjo and service bolt.
Perhaps this mechanic of yours charged you for "reinstalling the fuel pump" but he actually just unbolted the banjo bolt and put in a new gasket for $200.

Re: civic idles fine but stalls
Well. I took the car into the mountains a few days after the fuel pump replacement and tuneup. It was struggling up the mountain pass and hit was hot out and the as we were approaching the tunnel through the mountain pass, the car stalled while I was driving about 50 miles an hour. Fortunately, I was in the slow lane and was able to pull over. It wouldn't start. It took about 10 minutes of resting until it started up again and it's been fine for the past week without any problems.
