Default 88 civic heater core?

ok i did a search but still have a few questions. when the car is warm the hoses going into and coming out of the heater core are warm and the car is at the correct running temp. it isnt the thermostat cuz i put one in last year and it was the same before i did that.. but almost no heat is coming out of the blower. the fan works pretty good so its not that. also how much of the dash do you have to take apart to get at it..? any info would be great. thanks

Heater core job = full dash removal as far as I know, my friend. Have you tried flushing your coolant system? Could be a clog in your core.

The valve may not be opening all the way on the heater core. Turn your car on and get it to normal operating temp. Have a friend take the little handle off of the control arm on the heater core and twist it slowly, while you sit inside the car and tell if the heat comes on. The arm could just be misadjusted.
