my water temp gauge wont go up and im pretty sure both the gauge and the thermostat are working also my heater doesnt seem to heat which makes sense since the water isnt hot
anybody have any suggestions i hooked both hoses up, opened the valves and just took out a kink in one of the hoses and still no heat
hahaha
better get my defroster working so i dont run into someone like i did today

Do you even have a thermostat? If you dont have one it will take the car a year to warm up.. Which can be a bad thing since honda heads are alluminum. It creates hot spots in the head which will eventually lead to the head cracking..

the top one heats up, but ill have to check the bottom one tommorro its very possible that the thermostat isnt working, is there any way to tell besides having to take it out and put it in a pot of hot water?

dude, it cost like $14. just replace it already. most likely your problem will be solved, worst case senerio you spent $14 to narrow down your problem.

don't think that would be a t-stat. the car would overheat if it was bad and the guage would read that the vehicle is over heating because there would be no flow in the system and the temp guage is on the side of the head. missing t-stat or super good radiator.

not always true. his t-stat is probably stuck OPEN. i had the same thing with my car, it wouldn't heat up. i replaced the t-stat, problem solved.

Check the radiator fluid, if it looks like chocolate milk, you have a blown head gasket. When this happens, the car will not heat up to normal temp, or at least it will take a long time. Be sure to check it, as it could lead to more serious problems in the long run............
