Default CHARGE PIPING! How Did You Run Your Drivers Side? Kinda Stumped

Went to mount intecooler today, hacked the bumper core and squeezed the cooler as far back as I could.

The driver side seems easy enough by travelling through the stock intake hole, the passenger side pretty much stumps me though. How did you guys run it? Im running 2.5" piping. 88 Crx Si, dont mind clocking my turbo but have limited ammouns of pipe and want to keep the coupler number as low as possible

Thanks

It needs to be run up through the whole where an A/C unit is connected. Remove that and widen the hole and you have that to go through.

you will have to remove the windsheild washer fluid resivor I think

or if possible weld an inlet going 90 into the intercooler backdoor style, saves a lot of piping

How did you mount your IC? I am running a 31" as well (31x12x3.5) and can NOT get it to fit behind the bumper.

i hace a 31x9x3 and i had to lose most of my bumper support, 12" is going to be tuff.

Here is my setup, which is possibly as short as you can get the charge pipes to be without mounting the IC up near the original battery location. Although I get a sharp 90 degree turn at the inlet of the IC, I think the overall low volume of the system makes up for it with increased responce with only minimal effect on the velocity. I'm currently working on a new IC design that will maintain the short pipes(smaller volume) that will use a verticle row 6" x 25" core to help keep preasure loss very low and more effecient cooling. As a plus, it should fit the bumper much better to utilize the ambient air flow over the entire exposed surface area.

I took out the entire bumper support the way I figure it is that if I get into a head on collision the care is going to turn into a soda can.

if the accident is serous enough, the bumper support is not going to do ****, that was my reasoning

Yeah, just consider your new intercooler as part of the crumple zone!

I like the design thats posted above, cheap to, but I dont want to reweld my intercooler and Ive got the piping so why not use it.

I just dont get how you go form the turbo to outside and behind the washer bottle, maybe I should just remove it eh? Who gives a expletive type of deal, daily driver though...........
