Can I adjust clutch tension??
I broke my clutch cable today on my lunch break . Just wanting to know if there is any way to adjust the tension of the clutch, because it is extremely stiff. I can't even pull the clutch arm up by hand... Its ridiculous... TIA.

Just about to. Just thought I would do some research before I jumped into it.
If you're thinking of adjusting the cable, I know about that. I need to know if I can adjust the tension on the clutch/clutch arm itself.

Buy a weak street clutch and not a good performance clutch.
The springs and stuff on a good pressure plate make it difficult to actuate by hand.

But should it be breaking the stinking cable?? Its a Clutch Masters stage 3 clutch, but still. I shouldn't be shredding clutch cables because of it.

Before my clutch cable broke, it was stiffer than hell, once it broke I bought a new one from Acura and now my clutch pedal is easy.

Before the cable snaps,it starts to "fray"..
individual strands start to snap as it becomes
weaker..The loose strands then tend to bind up the cable inside..
